Striking legend Steve Bull is looking forward to donning the gold and black of his beloved Wolves one last time, even though he knows that he will probably suffer the consequences.
Bully is scheduled to play in the opening stages of Saturday's friendly against Aston Villa at Molineux as he celebrates a 20-year association with the club.
The Molineux hero will have several friends, members of his family and former colleagues in the crowd for what will be his farewell game.
"David Kelly, Thomo (Andy Thompson), Robbie Dennison, Robert Plant and Suzi Perry have all said they are coming to support me although they have all been giving me grief saying that I'm too old," said Steve.
"Mick McCarthy has told me that I can play as long as I like. The trouble is that whilst I'm OK running in straight lines, when I have to check, twist or turn, that's when the trouble starts.
"I played a Masters game in Ireland three months ago and three weeks after it my knee was still swollen.
"So this is it. After Saturday there will be no more boots or shirts for me. At 41 years old, my knees are cracking up. I think I'll feel a bit embarrassed but I'm going to enjoy myself.
"I just hope people don't expect miracles. I wouldn't even take a penalty if we got one. But, if there's a corner then I'll just pile in and knock everyone out of the way to get to the ball."
When asked what he was looking forward to the most about Saturday's game, he laughed as he said: "Coming off!"
Steve was today made a Vice President of the club by Sir Jack Hayward and he admitted that the honour came as a total shock.
"It's unbelievable," he said. "Sir Jack rang and asked me if I fancied being a Vice President. I couldn't get my words out and I think he thought I didn't want it - but I finally managed to get out a 'yeah, yeah, ta'.
"Sir Jack told me that they couldn't do a statue of me as I wasn't six feet under so they made me a Vice President, which is tremendous.
"The day I signed for Wolves is still clear in my mind. It's incredible that the 20 years have passed so quickly but I wouldn't change a thing."
Tickets for the game, which kicks off at 3pm, cost £15 adults and £10 concessions. Visiting supporters have been allocated the whole of the Jack Harris Stand. Both sets of supporters can pay on the day and turnstiles open at 1.30pm.
