For the sixth year running, legendary goalkeeper David Seaman MBE, teamed up with Parque da Floresta Golf and Leisure Resort in the Western Algarve, for the David Seaman Safe Hands Charity Golf Classic.

And I was lucky to be invited along with my wife Kirsty for the second time.

I managed to come 4th on both days and lost out on a couple of points both days, but it didn't matter not winning a prize as everyone had such a laugh

It was held in aid of the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, and until I saw the DVD on this charity I didn't realise how this young people suffer.

The events was a great success and raised over £150 thousand pounds which was amazing!!

Cystic Fibrosis Trust (CF) is the UK's most common life-threatening inherited disease and affects over 7500 people in the UK. Each week three young people are lost to the disease. CF affects the internal organs, especially the lungs and digestive system, by clogging them with thick, sticky mucus. This makes it hard to breathe and digest food.

It was another  great opportunity for people to take part in a prestigious golf tournament, on one of Portugal's finest courses, whilst raising vital funds for charity. Golf enthusiasts were able to socialise and play alongside David and personalities from the world of sport and entertainment, Ben Shepherd was there this year along with Ray Parlour, Kirsty Gallagher, Lee Sharpe, Bob Wilson, Dane Bowers and many more, and of course the hilarious Bradley Walsh hosted the whole event - who is mad by the way!!!
