BETFRED, 63 Victoria Street , Wolverhampton, WV1 3NX on Tuesday 13 th March at 11am – 2pm.
The World’s biggest independent bookmaker Betfred are celebrating their 649th nationwide betting shop opening in Wolverhampton on Tuesday, March 13th (the start of the Cheltenham Festival). To celebrate, Betfred are inviting locals to join in with a host of exciting activities from dishing out free bets and prizes, to the opportunity to meet the legendary ex- Wolves and England footballer Steve ‘Bully’ Bull!
Visitors will be able to meet, chat and have photographs taken with the renowned striker Steve Bull. He will be challenging visitors to a game of table football inside the shop, and Betfred are offering him a charity bet of his choice.
Steve will also be invited to play against professional darts player Peter ‘One dart’ Manley. Locals will be invited to try their luck at ‘Throwing against the pro’ as ‘One Dart’ will be in town to challenge locals to a game of darts!
Anyone able to beat Pete with 3 darts will win a free £1 yankee, whilst any challenger outscoring “One Dart”, using 6 darts to his 3, will win a free 50p yankee courtesy of Betfred. However, Manley, or “One Dart” as he is known in the darting world, will be bringing his own dartboard and darts to town with one aim in mind, not to let any of the locals beat him!
The challenge is also being thrown down to the local media to send one of their bravest journalists or presenters to take on Peter Manley! For every point they score on the dartboard with 9 darts, Betfred will give £1.00 to a local charity!
Both Steve and Peter will be available for interviews, photographs and autographs during the day.
