Steve Bull believes Mick McCarthy has found the same formula for success that Graham Turner hit upon in the late 80s.
Wolves' legendary striker has drawn parallels with the atmosphere in today's dressing room to the one he found at Molineux when he joined the club in 1986.
Wolves went on to enjoy consecutive promotions and cup success during the years that followed his arrival when the club was languishing in Division Four.
"When I came to Wolves there wasn't much money about and Graham Turner was having to bring in players on a shoestring to boost the squad.
"That resulted in young lads in the side who were all on the same level. There were no big time Charlies - everyone was playing for the shirt and for each other. And that's the impression I'm getting about the team now.
"The lads here also know that at their age they can be together for a good few years to come, and who knows what that might bring."
Bully admits he had feared the worst at the start of this season but, like many others, has seen the level of expectancy rise as Mick McCarthy moulded his new-look side.
"I think me and 20,000 other fans were probably thinking that we would be happy to just stay in the division after Glenn Hoddle went in the summer," he added. "But it just shows you what 100% hard work can do.
"Mick has started afresh and he has opened people's eyes to what is possible. Now everyone is hoping we can get that one last win on Sunday to get us into the play-offs."
Steve is planning to be at Leicester and has 'chartered' two mini-busses to take him and 15 mates to the Walkers Stadium.
He said: "I'm travelling in style and will be there in the stands with my pie and Oxo!
"What I don't want is for the fans to be singing out other teams' results. It's in our hands and we need to get the win and not be relying on anyone else.
"But I'm sure the gaffer will be telling the lads to give him the best 90 minutes they've got to go and get the job done."
